Building your local audience

There are many ways to go about building your audience in your respective city and we recommend utilizing some of the following:

-Social Media: #NFBW primarily uses Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn to attract an audience. Using relevant hashtags and connecting with professionals in the local community on socials can help to attract an audience.

-Local Groups: Though we’re in the strange age of ‘sometimes we’re allowed to meet up in person, sometimes we’re not’, utilizing the resources available in the local community can help expand reach/connections and raise awareness. A lot of groups are now hosting virtually which can have a similar effect!

-Insight from other organizers: This might be your first year at #NFBW or you’re a veteran and want some new tips. Either way, connecting with the other #NFBW city organizers is a great way to gain new tools and brainstorm creative initiatives.
