What is Emamo? #
As a Freelance Business Week city organizer, you have access to your own group space hosted on our Emamo platform.
Emamo gives you the autonomy to design you’re own event schedule, highlight sponsors, and sell tickets all from one place without having to worry about branding or technology.
Once your application has been accepted for the upcoming year you will receive an invitation to your event for the upcoming year. From there you can invite your team to begin building your unique message and agenda.

The wonderful people at Emamo have created a complete documentation portal for you to look up step-by-step guides. Although we’ve created a set of tutorial videos below, you will find more detail and specifics inside their portal.

Quick tour of Emamo #
Take a quick look inside the Emamo platform to get a feel for how to move around and what to expect when you start setting up your space.
Editing your basic event details #
Your account will be pre-setup with an event to edit and make your own. This video will walk you through the basic details that you will want to take a look at.
Selecting your ticketing platform #
The Emamo platform allows for two different options for setting up ticketing for your event. Each has its pro’s and con’s, let’s go over those in this video.

City organizer distributions from Stripe account as follows:
- 50% of local ticket sales paid one week before Freelance Business Week begins (April 11th)
- Remaining balance of ticket sales to be paid one week after the close of Freelance Business Week (April 29th)
Setting up tickets & gating access #
Your event will be set up with some standard ticket types, this video will show you how to edit or delete any of these tickets as well as set up tickets from scratch. You will also see where to set up coupon codes if you choose to use them with your event.
Creating your schedule, speaker and sponsors #
Your event will be set up with two standard event sessions to get you started, you can choose to remove or edit them. The TECH Tuesday session is in place for the National Freelance Business Week virtual event.
Adding Team members to Emamo #
It’s time to add your team members to Emamo! You will want to take some time to understand the different access levels (there is a matrix in the video) and then add your team into your group and give them access to your event with the role access that works best.
Your event sales reports #
You now have access to your sales reports any time you want to see them.
