What’s New?

Included in this resource:
  • January 2022 - Adding MeeteR to your arsenal of tools!
  • December 2021 - Resource library and knowledge base!
  • October 2021 - Local in-person events are coming back!
  • June 2020 - Let's keep a connection and work together

January 2022 – Adding MeeteR to your arsenal of tools! #

This may be our most exciting addition yet, adding the MeeteR platform for our organizers.

MeeteR allows you to have full control over creating your message, agenda/schedule, ticket pricing, and getting payouts.

This is a big step forward for all of us, look for the step-by-step setup in the Tutorials section.

December 2021 – Resource library and knowledge base! #

The #FBW Organizer community is growing fast, our number one goal over the first quarter of 2022 is to build out a resource vault to help you access the information, templates, and guidelines you need to organize your local Freelance Business Week.

The Knowledgebase will be a living repository that allows us to continue adding resources and updates so that you have a single place to come to find your answers.

If what you need isn’t here, please let us know so we can get your question answered and add it to the project roadmap for future reference.

October 2021 – Local in-person events are coming back! #

Freelance Business Week was designed from our experience watching freelance business owners thrive when they have access to a vibrant, supportive and engaged local community of like-minded peers.

With that said, we want to take on the burden of finding speakers for the national virtual event off of our local city organizers so they get back to can focusing on in-person local events! You could say we’re looking to get back to our roots as we all move toward post-pandemic life.

We will be here to help market your sessions and highlight you as well as the work you’re doing in your local community. Here’s how:

  • Virtual Fireside Chat during the National Freelance Business Week virtual event hosted by one of the Core Team members.
  • Participate in a “national” virtual panel discussion, on a topic the group chooses, during #NFBW
  • Marketing support, the national event marketing team highlights your local events (and you) on our social channels. Your virtual Fireside Chat session will be posted on the #NFBW blog and shared on social media as well.
  • Attend monthly virtual monthly mentorship meetings to connect with fellow city organizers, share inspirational moments, talk with an event organizer for guidance and/or feedback and get questions answered.
  • Access to the Samepage collaborative team tool to share notes, vote on items that impact us all (like a theme each year), and connect with other organizers.
  • Access to a knowledge base and tutorials on how to use the recommended tools to track and gather data, ticketing, email marketing, and building out a profitable sponsorship program.
  • Access to your city-specific webpage or the option to create your own as well as social media

This model gives you more freedom to design the event that works best for your city and the bandwidth you have available.

June 2020 – Let’s keep a connection and work together #

An in-person event is not in the cards for this year with the closures across the country, and the world, due to the spread of COVID. Our local city organizers pulled together and decided to collaborate on creating a week-long event

Still stuck? How can we help?
