Freelance Business Week was the perfect addition to the freelance community. With so many experts in their fields, there was so much knowledge being shared, not only from the speakers, but within the audience as well. That is what freelancing is all about!

#FBWBuffalo, 2019

#FBW is designed to embrace the local freelance ethos of each city it is hosted in, this year we will meet the challenge of extending this mission – virtually. The local organizers in Asheville, Austin, Calgary, Denver, Houston, Miami, Tampa, and Washington DC are collaborating, bringing local freelance business owners, leaders and supporters together for five days to expand your network.

Your local organizer and team are creating networking events, workshops, and/or interactive panel discussions on topics designed to help you grow your one-person business as an independent professional.

Find events in your local city to attend and/or register for the National Freelance Business Week virtual sessions throughout the week consisting of workshops, interactive panel discussions, talks from experts, and breakout sessions in a safe space for all of us to connect and grow our freelance businesses.

“I’ve been a freelancer for 11.5 years, and Freelance Business Week is hands down the most informative and useful event I’ve attended. I even made some connections via the chat and meeting options!”

Our mission

The overall goal of Freelance Business Week is to reach and support the growth of freelance business owners where they are, in their local communities. We believe every freelancer needs strategic partners they can collaborate with, peers to brainstorm solutions and friends that understand the ups and downs of a one-person professional business owner.

The #FBW founder, Emily Leach, learned through her experience building the largest local-focused freelance community in the U.S. and building a worldwide conference that freelance business owners are more successful with community. Local and nationwide connections can change the dynamic of your business.

#FBW is designed to facilitate connections, growth, skills and celebration of the work you are doing as a freelance business.

Custom Designed

#FBW is no ordinary conference or gathering of people … It’s all about your freelance business and your local freelance community!
